How to Send Us Your Family Tree
To create your Heirloom Graphix chart, we’ll need a copy of your family tree as a GEDCOM file.
A GEDCOM is a standard genealogy file that contains the people, relationships, dates, and places in your family tree. Most genealogy websites and programs can export one.
Your original family tree will not be changed. Exporting a GEDCOM simply creates a copy of your tree that you can send to us.
Ancestry
Sign in to Ancestry and open the family tree you want to use.
Open Tree Settings.
Under Manage your tree, choose Export tree.
Select Export.
When the file is ready, select Download your GEDCOM file.
MyHeritage
Sign in to MyHeritage.
Go to Family tree → Manage trees.
Find the tree you want to use and select Export to GEDCOM.
Follow the prompts to create and download the file.
Family Tree Maker
Open the family tree you want to use.
Choose File → Export.
Select GEDCOM as the output format.
Export and save the file to your computer.

Using something else?
Look for an option labeled Export, Export GEDCOM, or GEDCOM in your genealogy program or website.
If you can’t find it, just email us at orders@heirloomgraphix.com and tell us which genealogy service or program you use. We’ll help you find the right option.
Once you have your GEDCOM
Reply to the email you received from Heirloom Graphix and attach the GEDCOM file.
GEDCOM files usually end in .ged.
Once we receive your file, we’ll review the information available for your chart and contact you about the next steps.
