Family History Deserves to Be Seen
Heirloom Graphix began with a frustration.
After spending years collecting genealogical data, I found that the major genealogy platforms were excellent for storing information but surprisingly limited when it came to turning that information into something beautiful, readable, and lasting.
Standard family tree charts worked for a few generations, but they quickly became too large, too crowded, or too awkwardly formatted. Most were difficult to customize, and many looked more like database exports than family heirlooms. Once I tried to represent ten generations of ancestry, the problem became even clearer: the available options simply could not create the kind of chart I wanted.
I wanted something different.
I wanted a chart that could include many generations while still using space efficiently. I wanted names and dates to remain legible. I wanted the chart to reveal patterns of family geography, not just list people in boxes. And I wanted the final piece to be beautiful enough to display.
So I designed my own system.
Heirloom Graphix charts are built to maximize generational depth while minimizing wasted space. They are designed for readability, balance, and visual beauty, because family history should not feel like clutter. It should feel like something worth preserving.
The deeper motivation came from another realization: it is all too easy to spend years building a family tree only for that research to disappear into a hard drive, a file folder, or an online account that no one else knows how to access. When that happens, a lifetime of research can quietly vanish.
I wanted to create something that helps family history survive beyond the person who gathered it.
A printed heirloom chart gives that research a physical presence. It can be seen, discussed, remembered, and passed down. It turns family data into an object that belongs in the life of the family, not just in a software program.
That is also why we favor printing on metal and wood. Paper can tear, fade, burn, mold, or break down over time. Wood and metal create a more durable, display-ready object that feels worthy of the work behind it and the ancestors it represents.
Heirloom Graphix exists to help families preserve their ancestry in a form that is readable, beautiful, and lasting.
Your research deserves more than a file.
Your ancestry deserves to be seen.
